- sponge mix
- 120 grams unsalted butter
- 300 grams golden caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 20 grams cocoa powder
- 40 ml red food colouring
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 240 ml sour cream
- 300 grams plain flour
- 1 pinch of bicarbonate soda
- 1 pinch of salt

- 300 grams icing sugar (sifted)
